2 1/4tsp yeast
1c luke warm water
2tbsp oil
2 1/2c flour
1/2tsp garlic powder
1tbsp honey
1/2tsp onion powder
a pinch of basil
Let the yeast sit in the water 5-10min til yeast is dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients, roll into a crust, add your favorite toppings, and bake at 450* for 12minutes.
For Breadsticks, roll them like you would a pizza crust (just a bit thicker) cover with butter, garlic and/or italian seasoning, and mozzerella cheese and bake.
I like to double the dough to make both :)
I love to cook. More importantly, I love to bake :). I have recipes on scraps throughout my kitchen, that have been marked and altered til their barely recognizable. Why spend so much time in the kitchen? Its simple really. The best times in my family are sitting around the table together enjoying a meal. And when my kids are grown, they wont want to come home to see my sparkling windows, but they'll always crave my homemade rolls :)

The greatest rolls EVER! I mean EVER!
Came across a roll recipe, claiming to taste like Golden Corral rolls. Well, they werent quite up to par with Golden Corral. Ive changed and tested and changed again, and this is what Ive come up with :) Also, keep in mind my instructions are for a bread machine. Feel free to alter for hand mixed
1/4c warm water
2 1/2tsp yeast
1c scalded milk
1/4c +2tsp REAL butter (margarine works too, but Ive found butter to be better)
1/3c sugar
1tsp salt
1egg, beaten
4c flour
2tbsp honey
Pour water in bread maker, sprinkle with yeast. Melt sugar and butter in scalded milk. Once dissolved, add to water mixture. add Salt and beaten egg. Add flour, and finish off with honey. After the machine beeps, flour your hands and form rolls, placing them on a greased cookie sheet. Let rise for 30-40 minutes, then bake at 350* for 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. Brush with butter while still warm.
